At every home game, the Tampa Bay Lightning recognize a local individual or nonprofit making a meaningful impact in the community. On February 1, the fight to end domestic violence took the spotlight as the Lightning honored CASA CEO Lariana Forsythe as their Community Hero.
Since 2017, Lariana has led CASA (Community Action Stops Abuse) in our mission to provide safety, support, and resources for survivors. From emergency shelter and a 24-hour hotline to legal advocacy and long-term housing assistance, CASA is here to help survivors and their families rebuild their lives.
As part of this incredible recognition, the Lightning awarded Lariana $50,000—which will help CASA to continue our lifesaving work.
A huge thank you to the Tampa Bay Lightning, The Lightning Foundation, and #JabilCares for celebrating local changemakers and supporting this mission! 💜
