Rays Holiday Giving 2024
News

A huge sleigh-full of thanks to the amazing Tampa Bay Rays for bringing holiday magic to CASA Pinellas! This week, the incredible duo of Raymond the Mascot and Rays pitcher Pete Fairbanks spread holiday cheer to children in our programs with a sleigh full of toys, gift cards, and smiles galore.

Their generosity didn’t stop there. The Rays team made a special visit to our Emergency Shelter, where they created lasting memories with the children by building gingerbread houses together. The laughter and joy were truly contagious—a holiday moment these young ones will cherish forever.

Did you know that The Tampa Bay Rays have supported CASA Pinellas all year long? They were proud sponsors of the 2024 CASA Pinellas Scavenger Hunt, where Raymond himself joined the kickoff party to mingle and take pictures with participants. Their enthusiasm and community spirit set the tone for a fantastic event, where CASA was able to raise over $100,000.

Even in the face of this years challenges—including the impact of recent hurricanes that left the Rays without a roof and affected their team—they’ve continued to stand strong for our mission and their community. We’re endlessly grateful for our hometown heroes, who continue to go above and beyond to support our mission and brighten the lives of survivors and their families. Feeling inspired? You, too, can make a life-changing impact this holiday season! Click here to find out how you can support local survivors.
