Position Title: Grants Manager
Major Function: Renews program contracts by developing, writing, editing grant proposals for recurring or unique funding under deadline. May assist with quality assurance and completing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports. Works collaboratively and cooperatively with Grants, Finance, and Program staff to ensure effective results and measurable quality service standards.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Writes, edits and submits grant renewals to the Director of Grants & Compliance. Manages and assembles all materials for grant submission such as proposal forms, draft budgets, letters of support, quotes, and memoranda of agreement, ensuring each assigned project meets all proposal conditions and requirements. Keep the relevant staff informed about upcoming deadlines and deliverables, thereby ensuring smooth completion of work responsibilities.
- Prepare/ update organizational templates, boilerplate language, and supporting documents including facilities descriptions, program descriptions, and data resources.
- Maintains internal documentation on grant submissions, timelines, approvals, and outcomes to support strategic planning and reporting.
- Understands the scope of reporting and templates involved for assembly of agency-wide statistics on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis in line with deliverables under federal, state, and local contracts.
- Collaborates with the Director of Grants & Compliance in preparation for grant monitoring to document compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- May assist to locate and correct data entry errors in the database system by month’s end to allow accurate reporting, which is contingent on invoicing all contracts. Assists to prepare contract reporting forms and submits to Senior Quality Assurance & Compliance Analyst for completion.
- May assist to perform relevant research to identify and prepare available grant opportunities and evaluate the results. Keeps abreast of changing federal, state, local government, and private foundation grant standards and proposal guidelines.
- Participates in organizational committees, job related training, and meetings as requested.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
- Prior experience of managing a grant portfolio or professional certification in grant writing with demonstrated success preferred.
- Knowledge of English composition, grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
- Excellent computer skills including, but not limited to, MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.

- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing using logic, clarity of thought, persuasiveness, and creativity.
- Communication and interpersonal skills as applied to interactions with employees, co-workers, supervisor, the general public, contract managers, etc. sufficient to exchange information, give/ receive direction, and establish good working relationships.
- Flexibility to meet deadlines and prioritize changing needs in a fast-paced environment.
- Possess the ability to climb stairs and lift at least 50 pounds.
- Possess a valid Florida State Drivers License to be annually verified.
- Willingness and ability to drive agency vehicles.
- Agree to participate in a background check upon employment.
