*This blog is sponsored by Amuni Financial, Red Rock Sponsor of CASA’s 2023 Rhinestone Rodeo.
Although it’s heating up outside, we’re still getting into the holiday spirit! With all of the hustle and bustle of the warmer months, you may not have had time to think about supporting local nonprofits.
Many nonprofits (CASA included) see an increase in need over the summer, but a decrease in community involvement and donations. Now, more than ever, your support is critical in keeping survivors and their families safe.
We want to make giving back this summer easier for you. Our Winter in July Giving Guide is a GREAT way to learn more about creative ways to give back. CASA wants to make giving easier than ever, here are 12 ways to give back this summer.
Our Back to School donation drive is in full swing, and we are working hard to make the transition into the school year as easy as possible for people accessing our services.
Help bring the joy and excitement of a new school year to survivors by donating new, unused school supplies for survivors’ children as they recover from the trauma of domestic violence. Click here to visit our Back to School Amazon Wishlist for more details.
Fall is right around the corner, and CASA is hosting multiple events to rally our community together during Domestic Violence Awareness Month 2023 in October. There are a variety of sponsorship opportunities big and small, so everyone can get involved in Standing Up to Silence with CASA. From small businesses to individuals to large corporations, there’s something for everyone! Email blaporte@casapinellas.org to learn more.
Many local businesses have committed to hosting third-party fundraisers for us this summer. Whether it’s donating partial proceeds of sales of specific products, hanging flyers around their business soliciting in-kind donations for us, or having employees bring items off of our wishlist, there are SO many ways to give.
A few examples from this summer include a beachside restaurant donating rum bucket sales to CASA and a vintage car show in Pinellas Park with proceeds going to CASA.
If you are not a local business, you can still solicit donations at your 4th of July party. Have guests bring specific items off our wishlist and arrange a drop-off time with our team! Click here to learn more about third-party fundraisers.
You do not have to give every month to make an impact. This summer, consider making a simple, one-time donation, and the impact will go a long way! Click here to donate now.
If you have the capacity to sign on as a monthly donor, the process is simple. When you fill out our donation form, you can click the option to become a monthly supporter of CASA. This support is vital to our organization. Click here to make a monthly gift.
Donate your time and make an impact in your community by volunteering with CASA! There are opportunities for direct and indirect service, and so many unique exciting ways to get involved. Learn more about becoming a CASA volunteer by signing up for a Volunteer Open House. Click here to register.
With residential and non-residential programs at CASA, we always need support in the form of in kind donations. Our wishlist is updated frequently and has current needs of support in the form of in-kind gifts. Click here to view wishlist.
Did you know CASA has a thrift store and that 100% of proceeds from the store are poured back into our programs?
You can donate your gently used and new items Monday-Friday, 10am – 5pm, or Saturday, 10am-3:30pm. When you shop with us, your dollars go back to survivors in our community. Shop or donate at 1011 First Avenue North in St. Pete!
Does your employer provide a match for your donations? If you don’t know the answer to that question, now is a good time to find out and ask if they would match a contribution you made to CASA.
A planned gift is any major gift, made in lifetime or at death, as a part of a donor’s financial or estate planning. Gifts include those of equity, life insurance, real estate, personal property, or cash.
This is a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on an organization saving lives in the community, and it’s a beautiful way to leave a legacy of hope.
Do you have a stock you have been considering selling for some time but have been putting it off? Consider selling it and donating the proceeds to CASA!
The process is easy. Simply email ewilliams@casapinellas.org, our Donor Relations Associate, and she will ensure that you have all the information you need to complete a wire transfer when selling your stock!
CASA aims to provide each survivor we serve with the necessities they need, whether they’re looking for information or starting over from scratch.
