DESCRIPTION:THANK YOU FOR THINKING OF THE MANY SURVIVORS RECEIVING CASA SERVICES DURING THE HOLIDAYS!\n \nWe realize that part of overcoming the power and control of an abuser\, is to let the survivor choose what is best for them and their children. \n\nThis year\, CASA is asking that anyone who would like to contribute to making our participants’ holidays a little brighter donate Walmart\, Amazon\, Visa\, Target\, Gas\, or Publix gift cards in increments of $25. \n\nThese cards will be given to participants to allow them to choose just the right toy or gift for their child. This model of empowerment that CASA uses daily is the process of becoming stronger\, independent\, and more confident\, especially in controlling one’s life. This will be the first holiday season free from abuse for many survivors. \n\nHelp give the power\, control\, and the joy of gift-giving back to survivors as they recover from the trauma of domestic violence.\n\n\nDonations will be accepted November 14th to December 11th\, Monday through Friday: 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at a new drop-off location: 1019 Arlington Avenue North\, St. Petersburg\, FL 33705. CASA’S drop-off location will be closed November 23rd-24th \n\n\nALSO ACCEPTED: non-perishable food. At CASA\, every survivor residing at our shelter is not only provided a safe place to stay; we also guarantee three nutritional meals every day. \n\nALL GIFTS MUST BE NEW AND UNWRAPPED! Donated gift cards\, gifts\, and food will be provided to youth and adults in need as they access CASA services throughout the year. \nFor more information\, please contact Tim Murphy at tmurphy@casapinellas.org.
